Patricia Faxon wins BREC Foundation Outstanding Volunteer Award

Patricia Faxon is completing six years of service on the Board of Directors of the BREC Foundation.  She has served on the Philanthropy Committee and has helped to plan the social events of the organization.  Her experience working with state government, from which she retired, has been valuable in charting the course of capital outlay and other projects.  In addition, Pat has represented the Foundation at Inter-Civic Council meetings and helped to choose each year’s recipient of the Golden Deeds Award, which is presented to a worthy community volunteer.  Pat has served with other community organizations such as the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, Altrusa International, Volunteers of America, the Hospice of Baton Rouge, Inner Wheel, the Interfaith Federation of Baton Rouge, United Methodist Women, and the Administrative Board of First United Methodist Church.  She also served on a non-profit Review Committee for United Way, and chaired their annual campaign for many years for the Department of Health and Hospitals.  Pat Faxon has truly made a difference in Baton Rouge.
